In memory of Dean Mann
Alabama State Director, March of Dimes
There is an ancient belief that each entrance of a child into heaven is marked by a falling star. We look to stars as a sign of hope, and in many ways, Dean represented hope to us.
In the short time Dean was with March of Dimes, he inspired us to set goals we previously thought out of our reach. He taught by example. He fought with us and for us. He became our champion, our star.
Last spring Dean learned he was going to be a father, and from that moment on we saw such joy in him. He beamed at the mention of little McKenna joining his family in February. He doted on his wife, Beth, and worked almost every weekend readying the nursery for his daughter’s arrival.
The March of Dimes Alabama Chapter is honoring Dean with his own star, registered in his honor. It is one small way we can honor him, and take comfort in knowing he is watching over us.
Dean’s wife has requested that memorials be sent to the March of Dimes to help reach the goal he had set for the chapter. Please join us in Lighting a Little Star in memory of one of March of Dimes shining stars.
Anyone wanting to help Alabama reach our goal can make a donation in Dean Mann's honor
