Let Your Light Shine to Save Babies

Welcome to the Light a Little Star event. We hope you will join us and participate in a unique, fun-filled three-hour event that features a dramatic Stars in Motion ceremony. Imagine thousands of pink and blue stars glowing in the dark to honor all babies. You could honor your baby, babies in your community or all babies born today. The decision is yours.

This terrific event allows you to participate in three ways: Join an existing event, join our virtual event or conduct this event in your neighborhood. Just click the type of event you want to join and follow the easy directions. Using this tool, you can create your own Web page, tell your story of your baby/family and then e-mail your link to your friends and family and start raising funds to help the March of Dimes fight birth defects, prematurity and infant mortality.

Sign up today! Every baby needs your help. It's fun, it's easy. Let your light shine for your baby and every baby.

Prematurity: A National Health Crisis

Each year, half a million babies in the U.S. are born too soon, and that number continues to rise. Premature birth is the leading cause of newborn death. Help us find out what causes premature birth and how it can be prevented by supporting Light a Little Star.

See how premature birth affects your community by clicking on your state, Washington, D.C., or Puerto Rico.
